The details
Editorial policy
Evidence, scope, examples, and corrections—the principles behind Digital Asset Field Notes.
Start with a directly relevant source
Each Field Notes article links to one primary editorial reference, such as an official protocol specification, provider documentation, investor education page, or standards publication. A source should support the particular statement being made. One provider’s documented delivery policy does not establish a universal rule for all webhook systems.
Separate documented behavior from proposed designs
The guides identify their reference workflows as proposed application patterns. Examples are fictional unless explicitly identified otherwise. A response schema in the playbook is not a hosted endpoint, a deployed contract, or a representation of a real account. This distinction lets readers inspect a design without mistaking it for a product claim.
Preserve context around financial topics
ETF and fund articles explain terminology, data boundaries, and reporting questions. They do not recommend an investment, rank products for a reader, or predict returns. Product documents and qualified professional advice are needed for decisions that depend on a particular instrument or a reader’s circumstances.
Be precise about time
Article dates identify their place in the library, not continuous monitoring of every linked source. A current page request does not mean a protocol, service, product, or legal fact has been checked at that moment. Readers should verify the relevant source version before implementing a time-sensitive detail. Material revisions should be identified with an actual revision date rather than a cosmetic “updated” label.
Make analysis distinguishable
An implication drawn from a document is different from a statement the document explicitly makes. Research workflows should keep extraction, interpretation, and publication review separate. Our AI research guide explains a source-packet approach with claim-level checking and preserved uncertainty.
Avoid invented authority
The library does not present fabricated customer counts, performance statistics, testimonials, partnerships, ratings, or author credentials. Source organizations are referenced for their material, not as sponsors or partners of this site. The site’s scope is educational, and the reference examples do not carry a security or compliance certification.
Corrections and topic suggestions
A useful correction identifies the page, the specific wording, and a public source showing the issue. Send those details through the Contact page. Material corrections should preserve enough explanation for a reader to understand what changed. Topic suggestions should describe the question and intended audience, without including private account or customer information.
Reading responsibly
Use the glossary to establish terminology, follow the relevant source, and keep the difference between an observation and a conclusion visible. Concision should not remove a condition that changes the meaning of an explanation. Where the evidence is incomplete, an explicit unknown is preferable to a confident invention.
